Challenges and solutions
AWM required the structure to be engineered to take extra loadings on the roof to withstand large hailstorms and hail loadings. This future-proofed the building for AWM to make sure their business was not affected by future adverse weather.
The structure had to work with AWM’s own footing and slab design as they were to dig out the ground after the roof was installed to allow for an underground carpark under the warehouse. The structure also had to work with AWM’s own concrete wall panel system and be built between existing buildings.
“I would definitely build with Central Steel Build again. The product is a great product, it’s Australian-made, and we had no issues at all with anything. They were also incredibly helpful and accommodating when design changes were made.”
