Gravitas Energy Group industrial storage
Project overview
Gravitas Energy Group approached us in the conceptual stages of this project with a clear brief to supply and install a large roof solar support roof. The structure needed a 10-degree sloped roof facing north that could support enough solar panels to generate 552kWp of power, whilst storing boats and caravans underneath the roof.

Challenges and solutions
This is arguably the largest and highest skillion roof solar support in Australia. Our team needed to design the structure to support an extra weight of 20kg per m2 for the solar panels whilst using minimal amounts of wall bracing, to ensure the maximum amount of access for boats and caravans to be parked under the roof.
“Central Steel Build had excellent attention to engineering detail which was needed as a unique roof structure was required and which pushed the initial design to the very limits as a very large solar system was needed. Gerald and Alister and the team were very responsive to the design requirement and the economic business case needed for our client. I would highly recommend CSB to any discerning client seeking high-quality installations without compromising integrity.”
