Challenges and solutions

Building over an existing outdoor arena provides a series of challenges that our team must work around to ensure the building will fit nicely around the arena perimeter, and this project was no exception. Our installers also needed to put measures in place, so the riding surface was not damaged throughout the building process, all while working with challenging perimeter access.

For extra weather protection, we designed the indoor arena with extra deep cladding aprons on two sides and an eave overhang on one side of the arena. By including these in the design, the rider is sufficiently protected from unfavourable weather conditions without enclosing the sides of the indoor arena.
