Boyle indoor dressage arena and stable complex

Our client, a dedicated dressage rider and trainer in Scone, NSW, approached us for a combined indoor dressage arena and stable complex to prevent weather disruptions. Her vision focused on horse and rider safety with a shallow roof gradient to blend with her existing property infrastructure. The incorporation of a curved roofline was our solution to achieving an unobtrusive roof design.

 Challenges and solutions

This site was challenging to build on, located amongst large hills. The arena site fell away significantly on one side and our client wanted to prevent weather from entering the sides of the arena. However, he did not want to lose the fantastic view from the arena by making it an enclosed structure. As a result, we put an enclosed wall facing a large hedge and left the other sides open to encapsulate the surrounding views.

Due to existing infrastructure and gardens, the site was very restrictive, and our installers were challenged in their methods of moving materials whilst preserving the existing riding surface and perimeter fencing.
