Scone Regional Livestock Selling Centre saleyard cover 1_gallery

The saleyards' alignment with the natural topography required a cover designed to match the levelling contours precisely. Also, maintaining uninterrupted saleyard operations was critical, so we developed a staged construction plan to complete the project efficiently without causing disruptions.

Boyle indoor dressage arena and stable complex

Our client, a dedicated dressage rider and trainer in Scone, NSW, approached us for a combined indoor dressage arena and stable complex to prevent weather disruptions. Her vision focused on horse and rider safety with a shallow roof gradient to blend with her existing property infrastructure. The incorporation of a curved roofline was our solution to achieving an unobtrusive roof design.

Profound Civil Construction combined precast office and warehouse complex

Project overview

Having outgrown their current building, the owner of Profound Civil needed to build new premises to operate from. Peter had an unusually shaped block of land, so needed to work with a company that could design to specific requirements and work around site constraints.

Peter approached us with his ideas and we helped him to design a purpose-built structure that would meet all his business needs, maximising roof space on the angled site. He needed large openings in the building to allow machinery access.

We were also required to design the front office façade and support structure.

Challenges and solutions

We worked with Peter on the aesthetical design of the building front and on the practical design. The goal was to create a highly functional and practical work area with a modern and clean architectural façade.

Working with a triangular site, we spent a lot of time designing the building carefully to maximise the roof area without impeding on the boundaries. One of the features we included to help with this was a header truss at the building's rear. This allowed the corner column to be removed, allowing for greater access.

“Central Steel Build was a good team. They delivered what they promised. Pricing was all firm so we didn’t get stung with variations at the end that were unnecessary. This building had a sloped boundary and building with a sloped wall is a bit of a challenge. A couple of the other companies I approached just wanted to build a rectangle shed whereas Central Steel Build was quite willing to build what I was asking for.”
