Agnico Eagle industrial workshop
Project overview
The Agnico Eagle Mines facility in Fosterville, VIC, serves as a prosperous gold mine. As operations expanded and new geologists and personnel joined the team, the demand for a new core processing facility became evident.
This facility, to be situated on the mine site, would consist of four distinct structures: a core processing building, a core cutting shed, a pulp storage facility, and a general storage building. Initially approached to design, value engineer, fabricate, and construct the sheds, Agnico Eagle sought a turnkey solution. To meet their requirements, we partnered with commercial builders MKM Constructions to deliver the project seamlessly.

Challenges and solutions
Given the buildings' specific purpose, various functional needs arose, including ventilation, temperature regulation, and the incorporation of custom openings in walls for conveyors. To address ventilation requirements, we installed numerous wall vents. The conveyors' openings in the side walls also served a dual purpose by aiding ventilation.
To maintain consistent temperatures year-round, we included insulation in the roof and walls of the buildings, offering an economical solution.
