Corowa Saleyards cover
Project overview
MKM Constructions contacted us to act as the steel package designer and fabricator in the Corowa Saleyards project. We needed to look at the original design and plans to determine construction savings opportunities.
Close collaboration with MKM Constructions was required to ensure the design would accommodate the fall of the land and the working saleyards beneath.

Challenges and solutions
We worked closely with MKM Constructions to ensure the project was designed in the most economical way possible. The project demanded acute attention to detail throughout the design process to ensure the steel package was value engineered and catered to the existing yard fit-out and use of space. Certain areas of the saleyards cover needed to be free from columns to work in practically with the existing yard design. Clearance heights needed to be observed and site level requirements also needed to be catered for.
“Thanks to Central Steel Build and MKM for the successful completion of the 22,700m2 roof over the Corowa Saleyards. A credit to both MKM and CSB for their systems and workmanship to achieve this great result.”
