Ironbark Citrus packing shed
Project overview
Darr Constructions approached us to provide a quote for a large packing shed for Ironbark Citrus. Given the specific requirements of the project, we worked closely with Ironbark Citrus throughout the design and engineering process.
Our main goal was to create a building that would accommodate their processing and packing machinery lines while also allowing for additional storage space. In addition, we ensured that the shed was designed in a way that would enable them to build their own office at the front of the structure.

Challenges and solutions
We collaborated closely with Ironbark Citrus during the design phase to ensure that the structure would not impede the efficiency of their mandarin processing machinery. This required us to design and construct one of the trusses differently to fit around the machinery.
To improve the flow of vehicles and products, we carefully positioned the doors according to our client's specifications. Furthermore, we designed the front of the building to include door openings and access points that would allow for the construction of an office at the front.
“Working with Central Steel Build to provide our new packing shed was an enjoyable process. They provided a wonderful service being helpful throughout the design process to make sure the shed was designed around our packing machinery. The shed is of great quality. We are very happy to recommend Central Steel Build.”
