Jolliffe Farm dairy building
Project overview
Simone contacted Central Steel Build for an economical and efficient compost dairy barn designed to aid cow welfare and provide maximum airflow. The barn needed to be engineered to support solar panels and large fans.
Simone also wanted the feed lanes on either side of the barn to be covered, asking us to come up with the most economical and practical design to accommodate this.

Challenges and solutions
The best solution for covering the feed lanes was to design two 9m wide cantilevered canopies off each side of the barn. These canopies would have no external posts to allow for easy movement of machinery underneath. We also provided a gable infill on the western end wall to assist in maintaining a consistent climate inside the barn. We were also able to assist Simone with her council approvals and construction certificate for the building.
“We’re very excited to be moving into our new Central Steel Build dairy barn and there is nothing we would change about the end product. The installers used by Central Steel Build were extremely efficient and professional and we’re very pleased with how it has turned out.”
